What is dofair?

dofair is what is referred to as a search engine for world improvement. Other search engines of this kind are often active in the area of environmental protection or animal rights. dofair lets the user decide who to support ??(see Customize).

80 % of the income at dofair is used to support institutions and projects in the areas of education and common public interests. Our donation partners include children’s charity Westfaelische Kinderdorf e. V., the charitable organisation Future Hope People e.V., the German child protection association Deutsche Kinderschutzbund and the international educational support group "Studieren ohne Grenzen" (-> more information can be found under “Partners”)

Our Background

dofair developed from a project conducted at the University of Paderborn. In the summer of 2009 the University of Paderborn decided to adapt Alex Brommer’s original idea into an interdisciplinary project. A keen interest in continuing the dofair project subsequently developed. We then successfully applied for the eXist start-up grant. Since 1 June 2010 we’ve been supported through this renowned grant programme by the Federal Republic of Germany and the European Social Fund.

At the present time we're in the process of founding our company Weplicity and we're planning many exciting web projects. In doing so we're focusing specifically on innovation and social responsibility. The first project is the website dofair.org – a portal with an innovative new search function and integrated social commitment.
