For more than 40 years the association Westfälisches Kinderdorf has been engaged in helping disadvantaged children, adolescents and young adults who for various reasons are no longer able or permitted to live with their parents. Today in Westphalia-Lippe and neighbouring Lower Saxony they provide new homes for over 300 young people. (wekido.de)

If you want to achieve something, then you have to work together with others. The DKSB was founded in 1953 in Hamburg. Today there are over 50,000 individual members active in 420 chapters, making the DKSB the largest child protection association in Germany.
