Why dofair?
dofair is unlike any other search engine. Our explicit goal is to combine internet searches with charitable causes. A large part of dofair’s advertising income goes directly to charitable organisations. In order to succeed and to encourage as many people as possible to use dofair, our top priority is a user friendly interface.

The reason … doing a good deed!
If you search for something on the web using dofair, online shops and advertisers pay us to display their advertising. At dofair we use this money to support good causes: at least 80% of the income goes to charitable institutions (a list can be found under "partners"). The remaining 20% is used to finance dofair.
Another special thing about dofair: you alone determine who receives the money that is generated from your searches at dofair! (On the “Customize” page)
And the purpose … easier searches!
Another incentive for you to use dofair: searches are easier! Who hasn't been annoyed when using Google to search for a YouTube video or an Amazon offer? Many people use search engines not only to find information on the internet but also to look for specific internet pages which they are already familiar with. With dofair this is much faster and less complicated than using Google, for example.
Under the search field you will see additional search buttons. You can set these for providers that you use regularly for your searches. For example, if you often search for the correct spelling of words, it makes sense to add the Oxford Dictionary page as one of your buttons. Simply enter the word you’re searching for and click on the Oxford Dictionary button.
With dofair you can immediately search exactly where you want to search – without any detours or extra steps.??You can select which web sites are to be added to the quick search buttons according to personal relevance (under “Customize”).

Example:
You've set Google as your start page and want to search for an article on Amazon.
without dofair:
You...
. type Amazon into the search field on Google
. start the search
. select Amazon from the results
. enter the article name on Amazon
. start the search
. click on the article
with dofair as your start page:
You...
. type in the name of the article
. click on Amazon
. click on the article
That's only half the steps!? You alone chose which searches you want to use. ?(You can do this under “Customize”)
